Tesla Cybertruck Competes With Ford F-150 Lightning

The Tesla Cybertruck is on track to become the No. 1 electric volley truck in the United States.


Tesla recently celebrated its Cybertruck becoming the best-selling electric pickup truck in the United States.


Tesla reported deliveries of approximately 443,956 vehicles in total for the second quarter of 2024. The maturity of deliveries were Tesla Model Y and Model 3 units.



Tesla Cybertruck Competes With Ford F-150 Lightning



The company announced Tesla Delivered 21,551 units of its other models, including the Cybertruck, Semi, Model X, and Model S.


The company did not provide Tesla A specific number for Cybertruck deliveries.


However, some official X accounts indicated that the Tesla Cybertruck was the best-selling electric truck as of the second quarter.


Tesla's Cybertruck chief engineer Wes celebrated the completion of the electric pickup truck on the X platform. Tesla's official Cybertruck X account also confirmed the news.



Tesla Cybertruck is said to outsell Ford F-150 Lightning in Q2 2024.


Ford sold nearly 7,902 F-15 Lightning electric pickup trucks, up 77% year over year.


The legacy automaker reported that electric vehicle sales increased 61% in the second quarter.


It also saw a 56% growth in hybrid vehicle sales. Ford claimed to be the No. 2 electric vehicle brand in America.


Meanwhile, Rivian reported delivering 13,790 vehicles in the second quarter. The company did not provide details on deliveries. It currently produces the R1T pickup truck, the R1S SUV, and its electric truck.
