Tesla China continues to increase the price of the Model Y

This is the second time Tesla has made relatively small price increases on the Model Y in China in as many weeks.

Tesla China continues its price increases on the Model Y, revising prices for both the Long Range and Performance trim levels late last week.

Tesla raised prices on both Model Y configurations by 2,000 yuan, or $292.

The long-range model Y is now priced at 311,900 yuan ($45,517.56), while the performance configuration is 361,900 ($52,814.38).

This is the second time Tesla has made relatively small price increases on the Model Y in China in as many weeks.

In early February, Tesla raised prices for the rear-wheel-drive Model Y by the same amount, pushing the Model One's value up to 261,900 ($38,460.97) from 259,900 yuan ($38,167.27).

Tesla continues to slowly but surely climb prices to more favorable levels after cutting prices in China significantly in early January.

Prices for the Model 3 and Model Y were reduced by between 6 and 13.5 percent by the company.

The price cuts clearly helped spur demand and growth for Tesla in China.

The automaker showed an 18 percent increase from December last month with the delivery of 66,051 vehicles from its Giga Shanghai plant in China, with 39,208 units exported.

Tesla also continued to work on adjusting prices in the US market across its line of vehicles.

Hefty discounts applied to the lineup in January, and Tesla has been revising price points on an almost continuous basis, with last weekend being the first this year that the automaker didn't make a change to any cars on the market.
