Tesla factory in China is preparing a new car at a price of 25 thousand dollars

The expanded Chinese factory will be able to produce two million electric cars every year.


According to reports, Tesla has started up "Phase 3" development at its Shanghai, China Gigafactory, expanding the facility to accommodate the manufacturing of the anticipated $25,000 electric vehicle.


Local media report that Tesla initially began preparations for Phase 3 in 2021 but suspended work on expanding the site in 2022.

The Giga Shanghai site currently produces Model 3 and Model Y, with an annual production capacity of 1.1 million vehicles.
